If you love you will grieve, there are no exceptions (Thomas Lynch)

Grief is a process that every one of us will experience. It is a normal, though difficult, time. For many, they can feel misunderstood, hurried, even marginalized. We all grieve in our own way, in our own time, there is no blueprint; there is no ‘proper’ way.

Joan Wilson-Jones (author of ‘Who Cares’) is herself a survivor of major loss. Like many, she has travelled the path of grief on numerous occasions and believes, adamantly, that in our society, we do not do grief well. We offer distractions, medications, platitudes and competitions (whose loss is the hardest) when we need to be offering support, understanding and time.

This 2-hour workshop offers an insightful introduction to Joan’s extensive work on grief. She says it is imperative that we honour the journey and our own pain. Joan will be offering participants both the permission and the strategies to manage their own grief, to move on in the own way or to meaningfully support the grief pathway of others.

FEE: $30. PLEASE BOOK.
