Women as Allies for the Greater Good

“Here s a documentary film that looks at women and the transformative role they are playing in this critical time in the history of humanity. It explores the emerging paradigm of heart-based feminine leadership and the ways it is attuning women to their inner strengths and beliefs, as well as their connections with one another and the earth. The film shows how this deeper unity-of-being is empowering women to step into action and lead the way.

This film touches a raw nerve of yearning for wholeness and purpose common to many women. They want to make a difference and long for a culture that reflects their highest priorities. The film draws the viewer into an intimate experience and grants them access to practical wisdom and empowerment, key to awakening them to their true potential and responsibility. It explores what some women are already doing to make a difference and focuses on the experiences, thoughts and feelings. The point of view is positive, encouraging and energetic. Rather than dwelling on the negative and the past, it looks forward, seeking a new way to be, believe, and behave.

This little jewel of a film has travelled far and wide. It has made its way to the United Nations, Commission on the Status of Women, and a seaside village in Bali, Tasmania, women’s prisons and hundreds of large and small gatherings in spiritual and faith communities in the US and around the world.

This film considers the change experienced by women who begin to take on a larger role in their work or community. It will be followed at 1pm on  by our Women’s Circle.
